Chronology of Activities

The Chronology of Activities CANNOT be changed after submitting, under any circumstances.

 


Developing Your Chronology of Activities 

The Chronology of Activities Serves As a Summary Page Only!
This page gives the member institutions a snapshot of your progress to prepare for a career as a healthcare professional over the past years. Content will automatically generate from your information in [Terms Attended] and [Personal Biography Activities] to create a streamlined chronological timeline.

Importing Your Information
The information will only be imported once! If you go back and add or delete items in other sections of the application, then you must manually enter those new items into the Chronology page.

    • You cannot automatically re-import information.
    • It is to your advantage to complete all other sections, review, and make changes as needed before importing all your information to the Chronology of Activities page!

Editing Information on the Page
You can edit or delete items from the Chronology, however, doing so will not change what you have entered elsewhere in the application. This page only imports the first 50 characters of the activity descriptions. You may choose to edit your activity descriptions appropriately after importing to fit within 50 characters.

    • Remember, this is a summary page only! While there are character limitations to this section, the member institutions will also be able to view other sections of your application for additional details. 

From High School Graduation to Matriculation
This Chronology must account for all time between high school graduation and August of the year you will start professional school, and you must not have any gaps longer than 3 months.

    • Please be aware that gaps longer than 3 months will cause an error in saving this page.The reason for this logic is that the schools want to see you are actively participating in activities throughout your journey to professional school. Upon receiving this error, you may go back and add additional items you might have missed in the corresponding sections and manually add those items in the Chronology page.

 

 


Making Changes to Your Chronology of Activities

Once the import of your data has been done, a [Show Activities Calendar] link appears.

  • Click on the link to see a calendar displaying any gaps in your chronology.
  • Gaps will be indicated by a blank box on the calendar.
    • All gaps greater than 3 months must have a record.
    • You will be able to add records to fill any gaps of time.   
    • Editing Planned Activity Descriptions: You cannot change the "Select Activity Type". This must stay as "Planned".  The activity type in the chronology section needs to be listed as planned in order to make changes to the description.

    • Don't forget to select the checkbox 'I have no more activities to add' at the bottom of the page once you finish making edits.
